You'll also learn proven techniques for making regular writing a daily habit in your life. This workshop will be great for both raw and polished comedians, as well as storytellers, sketch writers, and bloggers.
In addition to being a comedian and a published writer, Neil Thornton taught creative writing at the university level for over 10 years, and has a knack for gently helping "blocked" writers tap into their creative wellspring. He's taught this workshops several times in New York City, Auckland, and Wellington.
Bring: A BIG cheap notebook (Not a tiny 3B1 or molskine notepad), pens, and a positive attitude. Also bring a routine or bit that isn't quite working yet, preferably typed out.
Cost: Suggested $20 (or koha if you're flat broke)
Time: Be there at 1:45pm! We'll be kicking off with a writing exercise right at 2:00pm (it's a bootcamp!)
